Vince Virr creates and performs dance works on the ground and in the air, currently touring his vibrantly dynamic dance duet Pop! and has just been Associate Aerial Movement Director for Rise, Bradford’s UK City of Culture 2025 opening event. He is a multifaceted international dance artist having performed in more than fifty dance productions across six continents. His experience varies from performing, creating and collaborating to teaching and mentoring. His own work explores the often hidden voices within rigid structures, giving visibility to those that feel pushed aside. He is passionate about work for young audiences, cross cultural exchange and intergenerational participation.
Vince is working on commissions for Imaginate and Merchant City Festival, Hydra Arts as well as touring his work Pop! and several projects for Barrowland Ballet and Bradford UK City of Culture 2025.
Previous commissions include Imaginate, Bradford Festival, Holmfirth Arts Festival, Kala Sangam and A.S.K. China. Previous roles include Associate Director with National Theatre of Scotland (We’re Here Because We’re Here), choreography for Mind The Gap, movement direction for Displace Yourself Theatre. His ownworks have been performed in England, Scotland, France, Austria and China.
